First, morality means a code of conduct which is held to be authoritative in matters of right and wrong. Morals are created and defined by society, philosophy, religion or individual conscience. in this description it pertains to a person who deals in his/her life decisions whether it is right or wrong.

Now, the question is “Does morality can only came up and teach by the religions or it can only be learned as you experience living in your life?”.

Many people said that the religions are the one that teaches morality and they are the root of it. i admit that when i was a child, the church teaches me moralities through the stories that had been written on the bible, but as  a  child i can be easily fooled by the book that i haven’t read. the bible stated the ten commandments so that there will be a base or root of morality among christians. thats why christians are feared to disobey the commandments.

As i grow i learned how to decide, to move freely, and study on where does my morality came up. i remember the video of Sam Harris had stated ” Which is more moral helping the poor, feeding the hungry, defending the weak at the mere concerned for their well being or doing so because the creator of the universe wants you to do it?”. in this statement i realize that  my morality was from myself and no ordered or dictated what do i have to do.

As my answer to the question, my morality is rooted from religion but i learned the most of my morality by experiencing life. i help people beacause i want to, not just lying to myself and i’m happy about it. this is the morality that i gain from education, in life, in social and in my family.
